植物学
植物学是研究植物个体发育过程中的形态结构和器官建成,以及植物界主要类群的演化和被子植物分类的科学,是生物类专业以及植物生产类专业必修的学科基础课,包括种子植物形态解剖、植物系统分类两部分内容。本课程的目的是使学生在学习植物学后,从植物细胞、组织、器官的水平学习、认识植物的形态特征以及生理功能,掌握营养器官和繁殖器官形态解剖的基本知识、技能和技巧,熟练地运用分类学的原则、原理,识别和鉴别常见植物。并要求学生掌握植物界各大类群、主要科属的形态特征,初步了解植物各大类群及其相互之间的亲缘关系和系统发育的规律。本课程将帮助学生理解植物的形态结构受环境塑造、与功能相适应,有助于学生了解植物在自然界和人类生活中的作用,并为后续的植物生理学、生态学、植物资源学、遗传学、细胞生物学、分子生物学等打下坚实的基础。
种子植物形态解剖部分时,要求学生掌握植物细胞显微和亚显微结构;组织的起源和类型;营养器官和繁殖器官的发育和形态结构。系统分类要求学生掌握藻类植物、苔藓植物和蕨类植物的形态特征、结构特点、分类和系统演化等,裸子植物和被子植物主要侧重分类和系统演化的内容,重点掌握华南地区常见的裸子植物及被子植物的科属特征,代表植物主要精选农业、林业、园林、园艺、药用和国家保护植物及在植物系统学上具有重要价值的植物。
性健康教育
微生物学
本课程为生物学各专业本科生的必修基础课。本课程的任务是使学生通过学习微生物各类群形态结构、生理生化、生长繁殖、遗传变异、生态分布、分类鉴定以及微生物与其他生物的相互关系,在工、农、医等方面的应用,使学生牢固掌握微生物学的基本理论和基础知识,了解微生物的基本特性及其生命活动规律,了解该学科的发展前沿、热点和问题,为学生今后的学习及工作实践打下宽厚的基础。
微生物学
本课程主要讲授微生物学的发展史,微生物的形态结构和微生物的营养、代谢、生长及遗传,还涉及微生物的生态及分类、菌种保藏等基础知识。通过本课程学习,使学生掌握普通微生物学的基础理论、技术和基本技能。
发育生物学
发育生物学在胚胎学的基础上发展起来,是用现代生物学的技术对生物发育机制进行研究的科学。在研究生物个体时,揭示多细胞生物体在生殖细胞的发生、受精、胚胎发育、生长、衰老和死亡等过程的生命发育机制。并通过不同生物复杂的发育现象,在分子和细胞水平上揭示多细胞生物发育中存在的相通性和保守性。
教学目标:掌握发育生物学的基本原理和基本研究方法,对多细胞生物的发育过程有基本认识,了解多种模式生物发育机制,培养发育生物学思维方式。
动物观赏
地球上的动物是千姿百态,形形色色的,他们个个色彩斑斓,身怀绝技,通过各种方式在复杂的外界环境中求得生存、繁殖和种族延续。动物观赏课程目的就是观看自然界中各种动物,来欣赏他们的美,理解他们的生存策略,感悟大自然的生存之道,学习动物界中面对生存困境展现的坚韧不拔和顽强拼搏的优秀精神品质。此外,通过本次课,深入理解人与自然、人与野生动物的关系,了解生物链完整性对生态平衡的重要性和对人类社会发展的意义,思考人与野生动物的关系,探讨人类未来社会发展与自然特别是野生动物的相处之道。

分子生物学实验
《分子生物学实验技术》是《分子生物学》课程的实验操作部分。这两门课程共同组成了生物学最核心的课程之一。根据教育部教学大纲的要求,并在总结了我们多年的分子生物学教学和科研经验的基础上,我们精选了八个最常用的基础分子生物学实验,用于培养初学者(本科生)在基因克隆过程中所涉及到的一系列实验技能,如PCR、DNA提取、酶切、连接、转化、蛋白质电泳等。在每一个实验的最后,都增加了相关的拓展环节,用于拓宽学生对该知识点的了解。此外,我们还专门设计了一个综合实验,便于对前面零散的知识点进行综合运用。结合历届学生的实验结果,我们还特别设计了一个案例分析,用于帮助学生正确分析实验结果。通过对这些实验的操作和掌握,学生将能够循序渐进地掌握基本分子生物学实验技能,从而具备独立开展相关分子生物学课题研究的能力。
