基础英语(4)
This is an introductory course of contemporary English short stories, mostly concise and condensed in plot and language but rich in meaning. Eight stories are chosen according to four themes to help the students get a glimpse of this typical genre of literature.
In order to explore the short stories in greater depth, students will be guided to read and interpret the texts by studying the elements of fiction (plot, setting, point of view, characterization and theme, etc.).
In addition to learning how to understand and analyze short stories, students are also expected to apply skills (such as summary, analysis, argumentation, active reading, quoting, paraphrasing and citation skills) in formulating their ideas or perspectives (both in written and verbal form) during the course study.
Pedagogically, this course follows a student-centered mode of learning and instruction, therefore, students are invited and required to join in group discussion or presentation to express their thoughts very often.

In this course-- The Academic Encounters: Human Behavior , students will improve their English proficiency and develop the skills that they will need to be successful when they come to study in their own future academic subject area in English.
This course mainly consists of two parts: A) Reading and Writing B) Watching, Listening and Speaking. Both are designed to help students to enhance their academic capability by learning:
what to listen for and read in academic texts
How to think critically about what they have listened and read
How to participate in conversations and more formal discussions, give presentations in academic style
How to write in academic style
strategies for dealing with academic vocabulary and
note-taking skills and study techniques
At the end of this semester, students will be better prepared for their future academic subject and more confident in their English communication skills as in this course they will not only be exposed to abundant new information about research findings and theories related to human behavior but also be trained to think critically and apply English in an academic style.

Basic English is a core compulsory course for non-English major undergraduates of SCNU as an important part of their general education. The materials of the course units are close to the college students' study and life, covering a wide range of natural sciences, humanities and social sciences, concerning science, technology, economy,history, literature, philosophy, life, social problems and so on. The major task of this course is to cultivate students’ comprehensive ability of reading, writing ,listening and speaking general English in life and academic study, as well as their ability of cross-cultural communication between Chinese and foreign cultures, so as to meet the students’ basic needs of college study, international communication, and future work and employment, and enhance their autonomous learning ability and cultural literacy.
地质学与地貌学
广义的地质学,其研究对象是地球,但目前仅局限于地球的表层部分,即岩石圈。具体地说,地质学研究岩石圈的物质组成、结构、产状、成因及其分布规律; 地壳运动及其所引起的各种构造变动和发展规律; 地壳历史及生物演化规律等。地貌学是一门研究地球表面形状的科学,具体是研究地球表面的形态特征、结构、成因及其发生、发展和分布规律,并利用这些规律来认识、利用和改造自然的科学。地质作用是链接地质和地貌的纽带,地质学是地貌形成的物质基础和驱动机制,地貌学属于地理学范畴。
人类的生存环境就其本质来说是地球表面的生态地质环境,它包括大气圈、水圈、生物圈和岩石圈四个相互联系和制约的整体,离开了地质环境就无法完整地研究人类赖以生存的周围环境。因此,地质地貌学研究和认识是促进人类社会可持续发展的基本保障,能够有效介入到水圈、土壤、减少贫困、城市化、废物处理、能源、矿产、减灾和教育等发展方面。

地球概论
《地球概论》是高等师范院校地理科学专业的一门专业基础必修课。在《地球概论》以后,地理专业还有一系列其他地理学方面的课程。本课程主要阐述行星地球的一般规律,并揭示这些规律同地球环境形成的本质联系,为后续相关课程提供关于地球所处的宇宙环境以及行星地球整体性的基础知识,特别是提供同太阳辐射能在地球表面上的分布和变化、与地球运动(主要是自转和公转)有关的天文知识及其运动的地理意义等。由于地球系统科学的基础知识也是中学地理课程的重要内容和难点所在,因此,作为以培养中学地理教师为主要任务的高师地理师范专业的一门基础课,为中学地理教学服务也是《地球概论》课程的重要作用之一。本课程的基本要求主要包括以下四个方面:(1)掌握地面上点的位置以及天球上天体位置的描述方法;(2)认识地球所处的宇宙环境和地球在宇宙中的地位,了解天体的类型、天体系统及天体的起源和演化;(3)掌握地球的运动特性和物理特性,以及地球同太阳、月球等天体关系的基本知识,认识其对地理环境形成和发展的作用;(4)掌握一些简易天文观测的基本方法。
图像创意与视觉传达
图像创意与视觉传达是一门通过图像语言来传达解释过程的,以图像语言达到相互交流的目的。图像是构成视觉传达设计的基本要素。视觉传达是借助图像的色彩、形状和组成部分让人们理解视觉思维所承载的情绪和含义,因此图像的创意思维设计直接关系到视觉传达效果是否成功。
图像创意思维与视觉传达技术是一门集科学思维、人文艺术修养、社会科学研究、创新思维培养等一体的多元知识交叉融合课程。课程主要培养学习者如何用图像表达自己的思想、观点、解决问题的方法等,结合生活中实际案例引导学生通过图像创意的方法表达思想、观点和方法,从而提升学生创新思维能力、图形图像创意设计能力、艺术分享鉴赏能力,知识建构能力、科学思维能力和协作探究能力。通过对课程的学习使学生对生活中各类现象都能有自己理性的欣赏和辨析批判能力,并对事物或问题进行观察、比较、分析、综合、抽象与概括的能力,实现通识教育的目标。
国际物流管理、国际物流学
《国际物流管理》是物流管理、电子商务管理、国际贸易、运输管理、航运管理等专业的重要实践范畴之一。 本课程为物流管理、电子商务管理、国际贸易专业学生的必修课程课程,旨在培养本专业学生全面理解和掌握在教学中所运用的各种******,从理论层面上了解国际物流有关的基本概念和相关理论,掌握国际物流系统要素、报关报检、货运代理、货运保险等实践的操作与使用方法。
本课程采用面对面课堂学习和在线学习整合的混合学习,线下学习包含课堂面授、操作练习和教学实践(包括教学实验),线上学习包含自主学习和在线活动。课堂面授主要用于解答同学们线上自主学习的困惑、疑难,教学方法采用讲授、探究、实验、实践等活动。
