After our discussion, we summarized the following bad habits in communication.

1. Denies others but not give effective suggestions.

2. Speaks to others without preparation and logic./ Has no key points.

3. Does his own things when communicating.

4. Not sends information in time.

5. Be self-centered and not a good listener.

6. Exaggerates the events.

7. Leans on a bias while communication, leading to information distortion.

8. Interrupts speaker.

9. Speaks too fast/loudly/softly.

10. Chooses a wrong channel. For example, for some important events, it’s better to chose written communication rather than very long WeChat Voice message.

 

And we also found which process bad habits influence.

Bad habits 2.4.6.7. influence encoding of message. While bad habit 1.3.8.9.10. affect transmitting of message and bad habit 5 influences decoding of message.

 

We also give our suggestions in the following.

1. Provide evidence/reason when deny others.

2. Speak after think a lot.

3. Give attention to the speaker.

4. Send information timely.

5. Not to be self-centered, listen to others and exchange opinion.

6. Describe things objectively.

7. Express opinion neutrality.

8. Listen to speaker patiently.

9. Speak in proper speed and volume.

10. Choose a suitable channel.
