This course aims to introduce students to the fundamental statistical concepts that managers commonly use when making decisions as sensible as possible, on the basis of the available evidence. The purpose of this course is to develop statistical thinking that focuses on ways to understand and manage available data and reduces variation of available data. The course will also provide students with the skills and knowledge in the application of statistical analyses and processing of business data.

This course is about to introduce the nature and role of service industry in China. Service industry has become the most important sector of national economy. It is recognized as the main economic driver of many other developed and developing countries. Chines aims to develop the economic structure. Various policies and instructions are launched out to guide the development of service industry. Hence, it is important to understand the development and statues in quo of service industry in China in order to comprehend the current business and economic situation in China. This course will take the form of survey to allow students to have chances to search relevant information and gain thorough understanding.

该课程是面向我院(与阿伯丁大学合办)金融学专业开设的专业必修课,主要讲授资产评估的基本原理和方法,侧重于房地产项目的评估,学生能够掌握几种不同评估方法的适用范围和具体运用,学会金融计算器的使用,为后续课程做好铺垫。This course is about the principles underlying basic valuation and investment formulae. Provides students with an understanding of the methods of property valuation and the purposes for which valuations are undertaken. To examine critically alternatives to conventional approaches to valuations for possible solutions to problems. Develop facility in use of the financial calculator in valuation.
Land and Property Economics 2019
The module starts with an overview of the characteristics of the real estate markets, followed by
the detailed discussion on the four quadrant model, which explains the linkage between the space
and asset markets. The course then focuses on the fundamentals of urban economics, including
topics on agglomeration economies, the economic growth model, the bid rent theory and central
place theory. The space market is then explained in more details through the evaluation of the
effectiveness of regulations and planning in land use and real estate developments. The course
finishes with a review of the cyclical nature of the real estate markets and rent forecasting.
