In our communication, we may face some situations reducing the effectiveness of communication:
1. INTERRUPTION
Interruption, the communication process disrupted by listeners, often happens in oral communication. It can lead to the speakers fail to express themselves clearly and the listeners fail to receive the information well.
In this case, we suggest that the listeners should wait for the speaker to finish before giving your opinion.
2. TOO MUCH TERMINOLOGY
If the information sender uses too much terminology and the receiver cannot understand these terms, the communication is inefficient.
In this case, in order to improve the effectiveness of receiving information, the sender should change his language according to the different situation and the message receivers.
3. DISTRACTION
Distraction is bad habit in the process of receiving information.
We recommend that listeners should focus on the speaker, maintain the eyes contact, change facial expressions depending on what the speakers say, and avoid distracting gestures or gestures. What’s more, giving out your opinion after listening is a good way to show your concentration and creates opportunities for effective communication.
4. REGARDLESS OF THE OCCASION AND TIME TO COMMUNICATE
Regardless of the occasion and time to forcing others to communicate is a bad habit in the process of information transmission.
During the communication, speakers should take care of the listeners’ mood. Generally speaking, people don't like to be disturbed when they are in a low mood. We should look for appropriate occasions to make the communication. In the same time, we should develop effective listening skills, adopt an individualized communication style, talk less nonsense, and listen carefully.
5. IMPOLITE
In the communication, involving others' privacy, using rude words and so on are impolite and may makes the listener so angry that the conversation will not be able to carry on effectively.
We should talk civilly, respect each other and avoid making offensive jokes.
