I was with great hope when I chose this course as my elective course, the hope for establishing a better relationship and communication with Westerners. now a month has passed, I gained a better understanding and version of the word" Culture" and the word" Communication". Apart from that I learn more about the theoretical communication; I agree with Charming that we should go down to it and practice. After all, practice makes perfect!

Through communicating with my group mates and other E-learners, I am more concerned of the skill of communicating; it's true that we are communicating all the time. but why when it comes to English there are always so many difficulties? I become aware that one's mastery of the language is the key of communication. You can never better communicate with anyone if u can't deliver your ideas clearly & correctly. So before communicating with others we should improve our English. Secondly, I feel quite awkward to find a proper topic, people differs one another, some people are just really sensitive about some topics, they can get furious even if you just touch upon it. So above all, I think we should better learn the differences of people's different culture. It's a big word!! I hope so much that during the class E-teachers can share more different culture information with the students, so we can learn more about other people's culture and can avoid some culture misunderstandings...

I've been practicing with my beloved partners and classmates, I gain the confidence day after day, and hopefully one day I can be a good communicator, maybe even a good interpreter since I am majoring in English interpretation!! I hope!! Because hope is a good thing, and probably the best thing of the world!!
