a. Give the definition of "Group" in your own words.

A: A group is a community of three or more people who work together to solve problems and achieve common goals using the knowledge and skills of each member.


b. Describe the detailed characteristics of the groups.

A: Size:The size of the group is divided into small groups of three to twenty-five people and large groups of more than twenty-five people.

  Purpose: Social purpose of small groups is socialization, catharsis, therapy and learning, the task-related purpose is Decision-Making and Problem-Solving.

  Primary nature: The group into which we are born and study interaction within a family.

  Secondary nature: The group we join later and help us to define who we are.


C. How to make the group members get into a positive participation during the group communication?

A: 1. There should be a clear division of Labour within the team to ensure that each person has his or her own part of the task.

2. Assign tasks according to individual characteristics and strengths to maximize team members' own advantages.

3. Create a harmonious and competitive team atmosphere to inspire the Work Morale.

4. Look after the team members who are not good at communication and cooperation, and try not to let anyone fall behind.
