a.Give the definition of "Group" in your own words.

A group is a number of people who share a common goal, and they influence each other and try hard  to achieve the goal.

b.Discribe the detailed characterictics of the groups.

1.Interdependence: Inside a group, people depend on each other.

2.Common goal: The group esists only because the group members share a common goal.

3.Group personality: When people get together to form a group, they bring their own personalities and finally become the group personality.

4.Commitment: People who form a group have a common goal and they also make commitment to work hard on it. 

5.Cohesiveness: This is the attraction which group members feel for each other, and this makes them united.

6:Group conflict: During the cooperation, there would be conflicts for different reasons. But that doesn't mean to be harmful, conflicts can be productive.

7.Social facilitation: When in a group, people may release energy that they would not be release when they are not in a group.

8.Gender differences: Male and female often behave differently in a group.

9.Group size: Different size causes different effects.

10:Norms: Norms are the rules that all group members need to obey, which makes the group function well.

C.How to make the group members get into a positive participation during the group communication?

1.Member's comments should be related to the common tasks or goals.

2.The group's leader should get everyone involved.

3.Member's comments should be specific and clear, and don't forget the time when you talk.Don't talk too much.
